Anonymous: Let me start off by saying i love your hair. I am Jamaican also, but I can't seem to get my hair to grow past my neck; its normally pressed but now I'm trying the twist outs for a while i was wondering do you have any tips

Lol actually I don’t have any pictures of my hair on this blog but anyway, as far as growing your hair goes the best thing to do is to give it a VERY long rest from all the heat. Low maintenance and protective styles such as twist outs, braid outs, buns, etc. (basically hairstyles that keep your hair away from friction caused when your hair rubs against your clothes) are the best way to go  until your hair passes your shoulders. Weekly hot oil treatments can also aid in keeping your hair moisturized so that it doesn’t become brittle and break easily. There are many hair forums you can join to get more help for example, Hairlista.ning.com and keepitsimplesista.ning.com

Hope this helps! <3
